The CAMPCO Ltd, Vivekananda College of Engineering and Technology, Vivekananda Polytechnic Puttur and Dakshina Kannada Co-operative Milk Producers’ Union Ltd will be jointly organizing the 4th edition of upcoming Krishi Yantra Mela -2019 and Dream Home at the Vivekananda Engineering college campus from 23rd to 25th February 2019.
CAMPCO Ltd, Mangalore and Vivekananda College of Engineering and Technology, Puttur had already conducted three Yantra Melas during 2009, 2012 and 2015 previously. All three melas were very successful and each edition attracted more than 2 lakh visitors. The main motto of the event is to showcase and create awareness about innovative machines and modern technology to the farmers. During the event, machine manufacturers and innovators in the field of agri-machinery will showcase their products. The latest areca peeling machines, equipments related to dairy farming will be put on display for the benefit of farmers. Visitors get access to machines and technology advancements of both local as well as outstation manufacturers under one roof.

Keeping in mind the importance of creating awareness amongst farmers in constructing low-cost cow sheds, usage of rubber-based floor mats etc. dairy farming has also been included during the event. Throughout the 3-day event, visitors will get the opportunity to visit the internationally renowned CAMPCO chocolate factory.

Latest equipments, raw materials and designs used in constructing low-cost houses will be showcased at the mela. Mega Event for Farming Lovers
In order to create interest among students towards farming, the machines and equipment developed by the high school and college students will be displayed at the mela. The best innovative projects by the students will be awarded during the event.

This mela is a good opportunity for different Companies, Innovators, Manufacturers of Agriculture related Machinery from all over India and abroad to exhibit their products and impress upon farmers to purchase and utilize them in farming and post-harvest operations. Organised by Vivekananda College of Engineering and technology, Vivekananda Polytechnic College, Campco Ltd. and Dakshina Kannada Milk Producers’ Union Ltd.Use of farm machinery will not only improve farming but also empower farmers. The preparation work of the mega event is in full swing and reached completion stage. Due to the tremendous response received for the previous 3rd edition motivated the organizers to hold the 4th edition. More than 2 lakh visitors are expected to visit during the 3 days of the event.
Inauguration and Valedictory
Shri. P. P. Chaudhary, the Union Minister of State for the Law and Justice and the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, Government of India will be inaugurating the event on 23rd February at 10.30am. Dr. Kaladka Prabhkar Bhat will preside over the function. Shri. Sathischandra, President CAMPCO Ltd will inaugurate the Krishi Yantra mela Stalls, Shri. Raviraj Hegde, President DKMUL will inaugurate Dairy farming stalls. Dr. V.V Bhat, IAS, Ex-Secretary, Govt. of India will be the Guest of Honour.Shri. Nalin Kumar Kateel, MP Mangalore, Dr. M R Dinesh, Director, ICAR-IIHR, Ms.Shobha Karandlaje, MP Udupi & Chikmagalur, Shri. Prathap Simha, MP Mysore, Shri.B Y Raghavendra, MP Shimoga, Shri. About Stalls
The event will exhibit 154 stalls related to agriculture machinery & dairy farming, 83 Stalls related to a dream home. Total 8 automobiles, 4 nurseries, 4 agriculture-related publishers and seed selling stalls, 20 food stalls and 20 commercial stalls will be put up. The visitors will get the chance to visit Banking stalls which are also part of this event.The total layout of the event is well planned in order to make the visitors experience memorable. The Dakshina Kannada Milk Union Ltd is building the model cow shed with fitted latest dairy farming machines. A low-cost demo house also will be showcased in order to create awareness of building low-cost houses. For demonstration purpose, more than 25 areca trees are planted at the event.
Special attractions
Drone sprayers, Carbon fibre sprayers, new drip irrigation machines, latest machines in dairy farming and various other innovative machines will be exhibited and demonstrated. Live Pottery making, Demonstration of drone sprayers and Dhoti sprayers are the special attractions of the event.

Facilities
For 3 days from morning 10.00am to 4.00 pm, visitors will get an opportunity to visit the internationally renowned CAMPCO chocolate factory free of cost. Bus facility will be available from the event venue to the chocolate factory. All arrangements such as Information center, drinking water, parking, refreshment counters, toilets, ambulance and fire service is done. The 3-day event surely will set a benchmark and greatly help the farmers.
